ABOUT US

KABC organizes and promotes safe group bicycle rides and holds social activities for our cyclists.

We were founded in September, 2006 and now have more than 180 members. We are a non-profit bicycle touring club open to cycling enthusiasts in and around Southern Beaufort County, South Carolina. hhi bike friendly

We are affiliated with the League of American Bicyclist and Palmetto Cycling Coalition of South Carolina. Kickin' Asphalt was selected as the "Best Bicycle Club in the Southeastern United States" in 2008 based on growth, community involvement, and use of League of American Bicyclists services.

We currently ride most Saturday mornings, starting at different locations around Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort. Rides usually range between 15 and 40 miles and average 12-18 mph, depending on the Ride Classification level.

Safety First! Fitness, Fun and Food to Follow...

We require helmets to be worn on all rides, we encourage brightly colored clothing and remember your water bottle!

We usually meet for lunch at a local restaurant following our rides. Come out and ride with us once before you decide to join our club. See you soon!

European Bike Tour

Twenty-three KABC members are headed to Germany on a bicycle trip in September, 2014. This bicycle trip is provided thru Bike Tours Direct. The nine-night journey will take the group to many historic cities located in the Mosel/Saar River area of Germany.
