Saturday, February 18, 2012..Lemon Island / Parris Island..10:00am, A/B/C ride 20 or 55 miles
Option #1: A/B Riders: at 10:00am Meet at the Chechesee River (Lemon Island) Boat Ramp on the East side of
Hwy 170 heading toward Beaufort...it's 9.3 miles north of Rt. 278 on the right just before the 1st bridge. Distance is
55 miles to Parris, loop Parris Island and return.
Option #2: C Riders: at 11:00am Meet at Furniture Store on Parris Island. Coming from the south: Take 170
towards Beaufort, right onto 802; follow signs enter gates of Parris Island. Once on Depot follow signs to Mainside
Furniture store. (on the right) Park on the lot and wait for the A/B riders to join for the 20 mile loop around Parris
Island.
Entering by car: Have your drivers license/ registration & insurance card.
Enter by bike: Have your drivers license.

Berkley Plaza: Take 278 to Buckwalter Parkway follow several blocks and turn right into Berkeley Plaza.
Park at the Outback Steakhouse in Berkley Plaza (formrly Sea Turtle Plaza)
We will be riding on Bluffton Parkway into Palmetto Bluff and return.

Saturday, March 10, ..10:00am... Tybee Island.. C Ride (Hybrids, Comfort Bikes or wider tire road bikes)...

Directions to parking location. Take Route 26 or 80 through Savannah heading East toward Tybee Island (Rte 80
becomes the Island Expressway after Savannah), past the light/intersection of Johnny Mercer Blvd and Route 80
East on Wilmington Island, continue over the Route 80 causeway East toward Tybee Island to the Old Confederate
Rail Trail parking area which is the first parking area on left after the causeway.
Ride is an interesting and historic 3 mile rail trail to Ft. Pulaski (we may have to pay a small fee to enter the park), a
burst along SR 80 to Tybee Island, a ride around Tybee on Tybee's two bike routes including a stop at the Tybee
Lighthouse and lunch at the famous Tybee Island Crab Shack, returning to parking area. Ride Leader: Frank Babel:

Saturday, March 31, 2012 Vagabond Cruise from Harbor Town in Sea Pines to Daufuskie Island,
C Ride.. 25+ miles $20.00
We will tour Daufuskie Island by fat tire bikes, leaving from Harbor Town at 9:00 am and return to
board at 1:00pm.
A Daufuskie resident will draw a map and is a great historian.
You have the option to dine in Harbor Town at the Quarterdeck.
Cost for the Vagabond is $20.00, 75 people and their bikes will enjoy this great ride. We will carry our own
drinks and snacks and stop and enjoy the island. Sign up soon...this is a special fund raiser for a friend that
had a bad accident and tickets are going fast. If you wait too long the price will be $30.00 a person and
then written to Vagabond. If you are interested please send $20.00 to Mary Grogan...but write the check to
Jimmy Rollison Fund. (tax deductible)

Ride classifications A, B and C:
(A) Haulin' - A ride 18 to 21 MPH (Avg. 18+ MPH flat road speed)
Brisk to vigorous riding with above average bike handling skills, expected cooperative contribution to group within abilities. No sweep, possible regrouping. Riders are expected to navigate on own if dropped.
(B) Kickin' - B ride 14 to 17 MPH (Avg. 15+ MPH flat road speed)
Brisk to vigorous riding with above average bike handling skills, expected cooperative contribution to group within abilities.
(C) Draggin' - C ride 10 to 14 MPH
Moderate to brisk riding with good bike handling ability. Riders are expected to be self-sufficient but there will be some regrouping.
